** SUBSTANCE ABUSE POLICY **
 

This policy establishes your company's position on the use of alcohol, and/or use of drugs or other controlled substances by employees.  Because substance abuse, whether while at work or away from work, can seriously endanger the safety of employees and may prevent top quality construction and service, |company| has established this program to detect and remove from the work place abusers of alcohol, drugs or other controlled substances.

The intent of this policy is:

To provide clear guidelines and consistent procedures for handling incidents of employee abuse of alcohol, and/or use of drugs or controlled substances that affect job performance and to make every effort to institute and maintain a drug‑free work place.
