Excavation and Trench Protection Policy

For the purposes of definition all trenches will be considered as excavations.  On any Company project where excavations are planned, an engineered excavation protection plan will be on file at the job site and followed for all excavations.  Exceptions will be where the excavation can follow the OSHA guidelines under regulation 29 CFR 1926.650 through 653 or tabulated data from tables or charts approved by a professional engineer.
